Step 1. Motivation & values

Serenitas' advisor enters in conversation with you. Together, we will explore what is important to you, what motivates you to give.

  • What are the values you care about?
  • What goals do you want to contribute to?
  • What social issues do you care about?
  • What legacy do you want to leave behind?

Step 2. Goals

What do you want to achieve? A question that starts from your motivation to give. The social impact you want to make becomes more concrete. We guide you to bring focus to the following questions:

  • What themes do you want to address?
  • Where and who do you want to reach with your actions?
  • Are there any organisations you care about?
  • Who will be involved in your decision-making?

Step 3. Action Plan

In this step, we take a closer look at how you want to engage in philanthropy. Serenitas works out a project plan with you, drawing on its academic and experiential knowledge.

  • What is your giving strategy? Are you looking at classical grant giving, or are you thinking about impact investments?
  • How much do you want to give? And how often?
  • Do you want to be actively involved?
  • Will you partner with other philanthropists or organisations?

Step 4. Measuring and evaluating

Measuring social impact can be challenging. It is not an exact science and influenced by many factors. You want clear and concise reporting that is also of value to charities. The important thing is that you measure or evaluate the things that match your objectives. You decide how far you want to go in evaluation. Using personalised workshops, we determine the right indicators and follow-up on impact.

As a philanthropy consultant, I guide people to figure out how they want to do good. We embark on a journey where often times, we do not know yet what the destination is.
